Overview
HubSpot attribution lets MNTN send ad exposure data back to HubSpot for contacts on your lists. When attribution is enabled for a synced list, MNTN matches those existing HubSpot contacts to MNTN ad impressions and sends impression details back to HubSpot as a note on the contact record’s activity timeline.
Use this article to enable HubSpot attribution for a list that is already synced to MNTN.
How data moves
After enabling attribution for a list, MNTN sends ad impression data back to HubSpot by direct integration.
What Syncs | Direction | Available In |
MNTN Impression Data | MNTN → HubSpot | HubSpot Touchpoint Note on Contact Record |
MNTN sends the following impression details to HubSpot in a note on the contact record:

Campaign Name
Creative Name

How it works
How it works
HubSpot attribution uses a synced HubSpot contact list as the connection point between MNTN and HubSpot. At least one HubSpot contact list must be synced to MNTN before HubSpot attribution can be enabled.
After attribution is enabled for a synced list, MNTN matches existing HubSpot contacts on that list to MNTN ad impressions and sends impression details back to HubSpot as notes on matching contact records. MNTN does not create new contacts in HubSpot.
You don’t need to use the synced HubSpot list as a MNTN campaign audience to receive attribution data in HubSpot. Once attribution is enabled, MNTN can send impression data back for matching contacts reached by your ads, including contacts reached through other MNTN audience types, that are included on your synced list.
MNTN also backfills impression data from the previous 60 days for matching contacts on the synced list. For example, if a contact is added to the synced HubSpot list after seeing an MNTN ad, MNTN can still send the recent impression data back to HubSpot if the impression happened within the 60-day backfill window.

MNTN data starts populating in HubSpot the following morning. MNTN retroactively populates impression data from the previous 60 days for that HubSpot contact list.
Matched contacts appear in HubSpot in the MNTN Saw Ad segment. You can also review MNTN ad exposure details as notes on individual contact records in the MNTN Saw Ad list.
