🧪 Beta: The MNTN MCP is available before its general public release so you can try it and provide feedback. During the read-write beta, the MCP can retrieve MNTN data and make supported changes to campaigns, budgets, audiences, and targeting. Every supported change requires your explicit confirmation before it is applied. Delete operations are not supported.
Active campaign budgets are limited to one change per campaign per day. Future scheduled budget windows can be configured independently.
Overview
The MNTN MCP connects your AI assistant to live data and supported actions in your MNTN account. Ask questions in plain language to understand performance, compare results, and make changes in the same conversation.
The MCP uses your existing MNTN permissions. You can only view or change the advertisers, campaigns, budgets, and audiences your MNTN user has permission to access.
What the MNTN MCP can't do
What the MNTN MCP can't do
The MNTN MCP doesn't currently support:
Delete operations: Nothing can be deleted through the MCP.
Creative asset management: Creatives are read-only. The MCP can return creative names, but not the video or image itself, and cannot upload or replace creative.
Audience size: The MCP cannot return the size or reach count of an audience itself. Delivery-level impressions and households reached are available.
Granular reporting exports: Reporting is aggregated. Row-level, impression-level, and user-level exports are not available. Beta reporting lookback is limited to one year, with the most recent complete 30 days used by default.
Cohorted reporting: Reporting uses day-of-conversion data rather than exposure-date cohorts.
Hourly reporting: Hourly performance breakdowns are not available.
Combined cross-tabs: Results reflect one grouping at a time, such as campaign or creative, rather than multiple reporting dimensions at once.
PII, billing, or contract information: These fields are not exposed through the MCP.
Optimization recommendations: The MCP can retrieve, aggregate, and compare your data and surface trends, but it is not designed to recommend what you should change yet.

Read: Gather Insights
Check Campaign Health and Pacing
Review what is active, how campaigns are performing, and how budgets are allocated.
“How’s [account name] doing this month?”
“What campaigns are currently active?”
“What’s the budget on my current flight for [campaign name]?”
“What audience is [campaign name] running with?”
If you manage multiple advertisers, you can also monitor pacing and performance across the advertisers you have access to with a single prompt.
Compare Campaign Performance
Compare campaigns and identify changes in performance.
“Rank my campaigns by CPA over the past three weeks.”
“Which campaigns have had a rising CPA over the past month?”
“Break down performance by creative over the current flight. Which creative has the lowest CPA?”
Review Creative Performance
Compare creative groups and identify performance trends or potential fatigue.
“Compare visit rate and conversion rate across my creative groups over the past month. Which has the highest visit rate and the lowest conversion rate?”
“Show me [creative name]’s CPA trend since launch.”
“Has households reached flattened out over the past month while spend keeps climbing?”
“Flag any creative where CPA has been climbing for more than two weeks straight.”
A gap between flattened households reached and increasing spend can indicate that a campaign is serving ads to the same audience rather than reaching new households.
Review Funnel Metrics
Compare performance metrics together to understand campaign results.
“Show me visit rate, conversion rate, and CPA together for each campaign over the past month.”
“Compare average order value across campaigns over the current flight. Are my low-CPA campaigns actually my most valuable?”
Compare Audiences
Compare audience performance and geographic targeting.
“Compare my X audience to my Y audience, using each one’s performance over the past month. Which is driving better performance?”
“What geo-exclusions are on my best-performing audience versus my worst, based on the past three weeks of results?”
Write: Take Action
The MNTN MCP can make supported changes directly from your conversation. Write access depends on your MNTN permissions and the capabilities enabled for your beta account.
Before any change is applied, the assistant confirms the specific action. Review the change, then explicitly confirm that you want to proceed.
Create and Update Campaigns
“Create a new prospecting campaign for [advertiser] with traffic and sales goal. Set my goal to a 2x ROAS. Using my [audience name] audience and [creative name] with a 100% budget allocation.”
“Update the goal on [campaign name] to 2x ROAS.”
Launch or Pause Campaigns
“Launch [campaign name].”
“Pause [campaign name].”
Update Audiences and Targeting
“Remove [market] from my geo exclusions on [audience name].”
“Clone my best-performing audience and add in these keywords: [keywords].”
Manage Budgets
Use the MNTN MCP to review, create, schedule, and update campaign budgets. Before a budget change is applied, you can preview the resulting budget plan and must explicitly confirm the change.
You can:
View a campaign’s complete budget history, including past, active, and scheduled budget windows
Create and schedule new campaign budgets
Preview budget changes before applying them
Update budgets for active or scheduled flight windows
Configure future budget periods individually
For example:
“Show me the full budget history for [campaign name].”
“Set the flight budget on [campaign name] to $20,000.”
Ended and archived budget windows remain read-only.
Check and Change in One Prompt
You can retrieve MNTN data and request a supported change in the same prompt.
For example:
“Find the prospecting campaign with the worst CPA trend this flight and pause it.”
The assistant retrieves the relevant data first, then asks you to confirm the change before applying it.
Work Across Connected Channels
If your AI assistant is connected to MCPs for other advertising channels or measurement providers, you can bring those sources together in the same conversation.
For example:
“Build one view of spend, conversions, and CPA across every channel I have connected for the last 30 days using [measurement provider]’s data.”
Other channel and measurement connectors must be available and authorized separately. MNTN provides the CTV connection. Cross-source analysis happens within your AI assistant, and MNTN does not store or reconcile third-party data.
Send Feedback
To send feedback to MNTN, describe it directly in your conversation. You can start with: “I want to give feedback.”
Your feedback is sent directly to the MNTN team for review. This is the preferred way to share feedback about the MNTN MCP.
Thumbs up and thumbs down controls send feedback to the AI provider, not MNTN.
Pro Tips
Ask naturally
Ask naturally
No special commands or syntax are required. Ask questions the way you would ask a colleague.
Include specific details
Include specific details
For more specific answers, include the advertiser or campaign, metric, time period, comparison, and reporting dimension you want to review.
📘 Example: Rank my campaigns by CPA over the past three weeks. Which ones deserve more budget?
Ask for data, not advice
Ask for data, not advice
The MNTN MCP can retrieve data, compare results, and surface trends, but it does not currently provide optimization recommendations.

Review changes before confirming
Review changes before confirming
For write actions, review the specific change the assistant presents before confirming it. No change is applied without your explicit confirmation.
Find advertisers and campaigns first
Find advertisers and campaigns first
When you are unsure which advertiser or campaign to reference, ask:
“List the advertisers I can access.”
“List the active campaigns for [advertiser name].”
You can then use a returned name or ID in your next question.
