Overview
Connect mParticle to automatically sync audience segments to MNTN through a Google Cloud Storage (GCS) bucket. Once connected, you can use your mParticle audiences in MNTN without manually uploading CRM files.
Use the integration to:
Target mParticle audience segments in Performance TV campaigns.
Exclude existing customers or other known audiences from Prospecting campaigns.
Use mParticle audiences with other MNTN audience segments.
Replace manual CRM audience uploads with an automated sync.
Shared Data
Audience data flows from mParticle to MNTN through a GCS bucket that you own and control.
mParticle writes audience files to the bucket. MNTN checks the bucket for new files and adds the audiences to your CRM audience list.
š Note: mParticle creates audience files based on its own file size or time interval settings. MNTN checks the bucket on a separate schedule, so an audience update may not appear in MNTN immediately.

Before You Begin
To connect mParticle, you need:
An active mParticle account with an audience configured to export to Google Cloud Storage.
A GCS bucket where mParticle writes, or will write, your audience data. You can use an existing bucket or create one specifically for this integration.
Admin or IAM access to that GCS bucket so you can grant access to the mParticle and MNTN service accounts.
Configure the mParticle Export
mParticle manages the audience connector setup within its platform.
Follow mParticleās Google Cloud Storage Audience documentation or contact your mParticle representative to configure the export.
š” Pro Tip: When configuring the audience export in mParticle, you can choose which identities to include or exclude. We recommend sending email, SHA-256 email, and phone, in that order.
Grant the following mParticle service account the Storage Object Creator role on your GCS bucket:
mparticle-gcp-clientfacing@gcp-prod-170221.iam.gserviceaccount.comSave the bucket name and folder path, if you use one.
Youāll enter these details in MNTN below.
Connect mParticle in MNTN
Sign in to your MNTN account.
āFrom the account menu in the top right, click My Account > Integrations.
āFind mParticle, then click Connect.
The Connect to mParticle modal opens.
Next to MNTNās service account email, click the Copy icon.
In a new browser or tab, go to Google Cloud Storage and sign in.
Grant the copied service account the Storage Object Viewer role on your bucket.
Return to the Connect to mParticle modal in MNTN.
Enter the Bucket Name.
Enter the Folder if your audience files are not stored in the bucketās root directory.
Click Connect.
MNTN verifies that its service account can access and read the audience files in the bucket.
If MNTN cannot verify access, an inline error identifies the issue, such as an incorrect bucket name or insufficient permission to list or read objects. Confirm the bucket name, folder path, and service account role, then try again.
After MNTN verifies access, the connection is complete. MNTN will automatically check the bucket for new audience files on its regular schedule.
View Synced Audiences
After your mParticle audiences sync to MNTN:
In MNTN, click the Audience tab.
š” Pro Tip: To show only mParticle audiences, click Source in the upper-left corner and select mParticle.
Synced audiences include the following information:
List name
Source: mParticle
Audience type: CRM
ā ļø Warning: MNTN classifies mParticle audiences as CRM audiences. In Retargeting campaigns, you can use CRM audiences for exclusions only, not targeting. For more information, see [Source Audiences with CRM].
Creation date
Go to Segments > CRM.
Disconnect mParticle
Disconnecting mParticle stops future audience syncs. Audiences that have already been processed remain available in your MNTN Segment list and arenāt deleted when you disconnect the integration.
From the account menu in the top right, click My Account > Integrations.
Find mParticle, then click Manage.
In the bottom-left corner, click Disconnect mParticle.
