Measure In-Store Traffic with Quorum

Measure how your MNTN campaigns drive in-store traffic with Quorum.

Overview

Quorum helps you track real-world results from your MNTN campaigns by measuring in-store foot traffic with unmatched accuracy and scale. Powered by GPS precision and the industry’s largest opt-in device graph, Quorum delivers detailed, and reliable reporting.

Use it when:

  • You have physical store locations (retail, franchise, or local)

  • You mostly (or only) sell your product in retail stores

  • You have minimal website activity and few online KPIs

  • You want to validate your MNTN campaigns for in-store activity, alongside your online and offline KPIs

Set It Up

  1. Apply for the Quorum beta.
Go to mntn.com/beta and complete the form. It takes less than a minute.

  2. Get approved by MNTN.
    Our team will confirm eligibility:

    • Minimum $10K/month MNTN spend

    • 3-month test commitment (we cover the cost of Quorum measurement)

    • Agreement to participate in a case study

  3. Gather required information & share it with Quorum.
Use the Quorum form sent by the MNTN team via email to provide the following:

    • Locations to track: A list of specific locations (addresses)

    • Competitors or categories of interest: The brands or categories you want to benchmark against

📘 Example: “all other car dealerships in the area” or “Toyota of Orange”

    • Expected monthly MNTN budget: Your estimated monthly spend for the 3-month added-value term

    • Campaign stakeholders: Names and email addresses of anyone who needs reporting access in the Quorum platform

  4. Quorum confirmation setup & tracking details.
After you submit the Quorum form, the Quorum Customer Success team will reach out with:

    • Confirmation that your setup is complete

    • The Quorum impression tag to apply to your MNTN campaigns

    • Instructions for accessing your foot traffic reporting dashboard

📝 Note: Reporting is not available immediately. It typically takes about two weeks after launch for data to appear in Quorum's dashboard. Once data is ready, the Quorum team will send your login credentials so you can access foot traffic reporting.

  5. Track performance.

You'll see in-store visits segmented by campaign, creative, TV network, and location with competitor comparisons if provided in Quorum's Reporting Dashboard.

📝 Note: Quorum filters out likely employee devices and only counts visits inside your exact geofence.

Pro Tips

Precision matters

Quorum avoids overcounting by hand-mapping store boundaries and excluding nearby pings from roads or adjacent businesses.

Pair with MNTN reporting

Use Quorum foot traffic data alongside MNTN website metrics to get a holistic view of your campaign impact.

Target competitors, too

Want to track your overlap with local competition? Just note them during setup.

Attributions are time-based

Devices that visit your mapped store locations are attributed to MNTN impressions within 28 days using anonymized device matching — no cookies or personal data required.

Quick Answers

Is there a minimum visit duration?

No. A device just needs to enter your store’s specific geofence to track a visit. Minimum well time isn’t required.

Do you measure how long someone stays?

Not directly. Quorum tracks movement patterns, but not time spent inside.

Why might my geo reports not match exactly?

Quorum and MNTN use different methods to determine geolocation. Some variation is expected, but your ads are still reaching the right audience.

What data does Quorum collect?

Quorum collects location signals from opted-in iOS and Android devices with location services enabled. No apps need to be open — if a user has allowed location sharing, we can collect GPS and cell tower signals in the background. No personal or identifiable information is collected.

Does Quorum show conversion information?

Quorum's technology works specifically to track user location and store visits. If you'd like to see MNTN influence on in-store conversions, we recommend leveraging our Offline Attribution feature.

Can I see and change the geo fences for my store locations?

Yes. You can request to see and adjust the geo fence mappings for your store locations upon request.

How do we know if someone who visited a store saw an ad?

MNTN sends impression data (including IP address) to Quorum, which uses an identity graph to match devices to households. Quorum tracks opted-in mobile device locations and connects store visits back to households exposed to a MNTN TV ad.
