Overview

MNTN bills accounts monthly for the previous monthโ€™s ad spend. All customers begin on credit card billing. Select customers may apply to switch to invoice billing on Net 30 terms.

Your billing method determines who is charged, who receives payment notifications, and how you access billing documents.

Billing Cycle

MNTN charges for ad spend by the 10th of the month following delivery.

๐Ÿ“˜ Example: Your January ad spend is billed by February 10th.

Each bill includes:

  • Total ad spend for the previous month

  • Billing date

  • Payment method used

  • Reference number

Billing notifications are sent to the primary email address on your account. For invoice billing, notifications are sent to all designated invoice contacts.

Payment Methods

MNTN offers two billing options:

Method

How it works

Who it's for

Credit Card

Automatic monthly charge to the card on file.

All customers (default)

Invoice

Monthly invoice on Net 30 terms, payable by ACH, wire transfer, check or credit card. Credit cards require an authorization form.

Select customers

All customers start on credit card billing. Invoice billing is available by request and subject to approval. If you switch back to credit card billing, returning to invoice billing requires pre-approval.

Credit card

Your card is charged automatically each month, typically by the 10th. A receipt is sent to the primary account contact.

To avoid billing interruptions:

  • Ensure your card has sufficient credit to cover your campaign budgets

  • Keep your billing information up to date

MNTN accepts all major credit cards. Card details are securely handled and not stored by MNTN.

Invoice

Invoices are sent on Net 30 terms, typically by the 10th of the following month. They're delivered to anyone listed as an invoice contact in your account.

๐Ÿ“ Note: Invoices reflect total monthly ad spend. Campaign-level charges are not itemized.

After payment, your invoice status in the platform may continue to show Overdue until the next system refresh, typically between the 30th and 3rd.

๐Ÿ“˜ Example: If you pay on the 25th, the status may remain Overdue until the platform refreshes between the 30th and 3rd. At that time, the status updates to Paid, or youโ€™ll receive a notification if payment was not received.

Additional Payment Considerations

Washington State Sales Tax Requirements (Effective October 1, 2025)

On May 20, 2025, Washington Senate Bill 5814 was signed, expanding existing Washington sales tax to include advertising services. The legislation specifically includes online advertising services as taxable retail sales and encompasses all aspects of online advertising production and placement services.
โ€‹

The legislation went into effect on October 1, 2025, which means customers with billing addresses in Washington will see sales tax included on their invoices for advertising spend with MNTN.

How Washington sales tax is calculated

Washington sales tax will be calculated on the final sale price of each individual product or service. The amount of tax collected depends on many factors, including, but not limited to, the type of product or service you purchase, and your location/addresses within Washington. The address associated with your billing
profile will be used to determine the tax location for applicable taxes. Once your bill is finalized, sales tax to be collected will be displayed as a line item on your invoice.

Washington sales tax exemptions

If you have a valid Washington tax exemption certificate that applies to your purchases of advertising services from MNTN, you can submit it to [email protected]. Example of valid exemption certificates for advertising services include:

  • Reseller certificates: you are an agency or reseller that purchases advertising services from MNTN for
the purpose of resale to advertisers.

  • Multiple points of use (MPU): you use the advertising services you purchase from MNTN across
    multiple jurisdictions.

Your exemption will remain active until the expiration of your tax exemption certificate. To retain your tax exemption, you must submit an updated exemption certificate before the expiration of the current certificate. Applicable expiration dates are noted in our records.
