Set Up Media Plans

Overview

The MNTN Media Plan helps you launch smarter CTV campaigns using forecasting models and historical performance data to recommend an optimized mix of networks based on your budget, vertical, and goals.

When you reach the Media Plan step in campaign creation, MNTN automatically applies a recommended network mix to your campaign. This allows you to move forward without needing to make manual changes. The plan is automatically applied to your campaign so you can launch with confidence.

Steps

  1. Create a new campaign.
    Create a new campaign and choose a TV-Only Prospecting strategy.

  2. Review your recommended Media Plan.
    When you open the Media Plan step, a recommended mix of networks is automatically applied to your campaign.

    You can review the included networks before continuing, but most advertisers achieve the strongest performance by keeping the recommended plan unchanged.


    ๐Ÿ’ก Pro Tip: The recommended Media Plan is designed to optimize performance. Manual edits may reduce efficiency unless you have a specific reason to adjust.


  3. Review your campaign's Deliverability Confidence.
    Watch the widget on the top right corner of your screen for real-time deliverability feedback. If pacing falls behind, MNTN will automatically reallocate to alternate networks to help avoid underspend.

  4. In the bottom-right, click Update Media Plan.

    You can also click Switch back to auto-managed plan > Switch to auto-managed plan plan at any time.

๐Ÿ’ก Pro Tip: Most advertisers achieve the best results by keeping the recommended plan unchanged.


If you manually edit your Media Plan, MNTN respects your selections while still optimizing within your chosen framework.

  1. From the Media Plan step, in the bottom-right, click Manage this plan manually.

    The confirmation modal appears.

  2. Click Switch to manual.

  3. Optionally, adjust networks.

    1. In the upper-right corner, click + Add Networks.

    2. Search, add, and remove networks to fit your goals.

      Make sure your media plan includes at least two active networks before moving on.


      ๐Ÿ’ก Pro Tip: You can toggle Selected only and AI Recommended filters.


    3. In the bottom-right corner, click Add Networks.

  4. Optionally, adjust impression allocations.

    In the Impression Allocation field next to each network, enter the percentage of your campaign budget youโ€™d like to assign.


    โš ๏ธ Warning: Your allocations must add up to 100% before you can move forward.
