Overview
Uploading your creative assets into your campaign shell is easy. There are two places you can upload your TV commercials within your MNTN account:
Within a campaign shell on the Creative step
From the Creative Library under the My TV Videos tab
The upload experience supports drag-and-drop, file selection, or Dropbox import.
MNTN supports multi-file uploads with real-time progress tracking, allowing you to upload several creatives at once while continuing to work in the platform.
Upload Creative
You can upload TV commercials either directly within a campaign or from your Creative Library.
Upload from a campaign shell:
Navigate to the Creative step of your campaign shell.
Click Add Group to upload your TV Commercial:
If no creatives are attached yet, you will land directly on the Upload Your Video page.
If creatives already exist in the campaign, select + Add New > Upload New.
You'll have three options for upload.
π‘Pro Tip: You can select or drag multiple files to upload at once.
Drag-n-Drop: Drag your TV ad file onto the page to upload.
Choose File: Select your TV ad from your computer for upload.
Dropbox: Upload your TV ad directly from your Dropbox account.
π Note: Dropbox imports allow only one file at a time, based on Dropbox platform limitations.
For creatives larger than 200MB, we recommend using Dropbox for faster, more reliable processing. If you choose to upload files over 200MB directly, please allow a few extra minutes for the upload to complete.
Monitor upload progress.
Uploads run in the background, so you can continue working in MNTN.
While uploads are in progress, an Uploading status button appears in the top navigation. This indicator stays visible even if you close the upload window or move to another page.
Click Uploading to open an expanded view showing progress for each file and any errors.
When uploads finish, the indicator updates to Upload Complete.
To attach the TV ad to your campaign shell, select Attach to Campaign from the kebab menu.
You'll then enter your tracking parameters:
Visit URL
Visit Tracking
Impression tracking (optional)
A creative status will appear, reflecting the state of your creative in the approval process.
If running with several TV ads, adjust the weighting of your TV ads to your liking.
π‘ Pro Tip: If your team decides to move forward with MNTN Multi-Touch, follow the steps to append your multi-touch ads to your MNTN campaign.

If you want to access previously uploaded TV commercials within a campaign shell, these ads will always be accessible from within your campaign shells.
Duplicate Creative
Your ads can only be attached one time to each campaign shell. Should you want to use the same asset either a second time within a campaign shell or in another campaign shell, you can simply duplicate the TV commercial - just complete the below steps.
From your campaign shell
Navigate to the Video Creative step of your campaign shell where you'd like the new ad attached.
Select the blue + Add New button in the top-right corner of the page.
Once you land on the My TV Videos page, find the TV commercial you'd like to duplicate.
From that TV commercial's kebab menu, select + Attach to Campaign.
You'll be notified that your TV commercial will be duplicated. This pop-up will also prompt you to adjust the name of your TV creative.
Click the blue Save button in the bottom right corner of the pop-up.
You'll then be prompted to input your tracking parameters: visit URL, visit tracking, and should it apply to your team, impression tracking.
Your creative will then undergo an approvals process -- a status will appear on the creative to let you know where the creative is in said approval processes.
If running with several TV commercials, adjust the weighting of your TV commercials to your liking.
From the creative tab
Navigate to the Creative tab of your account.
Select the sub-tab My TV Videos.
Once here, find the TV commercial you'd like to duplicate.
From that TV commercial's kebab menu, select Duplicate.
A new line item dedicated to that TV commercial will appear.
Select the pencil button on that new TV commercial to adjust the naming convention to your liking.
The duplicated TV commercial is now living in your creative library.
π Note: To use the creative, you will need to attach it to a campaign shell.
Edit Creative Groups
Your team can always make simple adjustments to your creative groups, pre- or post-launch. Depending on your team's needs, follow the steps outlined below.
Pro Tip: We don't recommend editing groups once live as it can muddy the performance data seen in your reporting. Instead, we recommend uploading a new creative group with desired changes for the most accurate reporting.
Edit naming conventions
Perhaps your team wants to refresh your creative naming convention across all of your creative groups; edit your creative group's naming conventions by completing the following steps:
Navigate to the campaign shell's Creative step.
Find the square associated with the creative group you wish to edit. Click the kebab menu on that square.
Select Edit Group from the menu.
The New Creative Group window will appear.
Click the pencil icon next to the TV commercial's previous naming convention.
Make desired edits.
Click Enter.
Click the green Done button in the bottom-right corner.
Edit Tracking Parameters
Your team may want to adjust the UTM parameters and change the Visit URL of your ads. If so, complete the following steps:
Navigate to the campaign shell's Creative step.
Find the square associated with the creative group you wish to edit. Click the kebab menu on that square.
Select Edit Group from the menu.
The New Creative Group window will appear.
Select the blue Set Tracking & Params button in this window's top-right corner.
The Edit Tracking Parameters drawer will appear.
Make the needed changes to your third-party tracking parameters.
Click the blue Done button in the bottom-right corner of the drawer.
You'll be navigated back to the New Creative Group window.
Select the green Done in the bottom-right corner of this window.
Delete Creative
From your campaign shell
Navigate to the Video Creative step of your campaign shell.
Ensure the creative group you'd like to remove is weighted to 0%.
Adjust your other creative group's weightings to a total of 100%.
Click the kebab menu on the creative group you want to delete.
Select Delete from the menu.
The removed creative will continue to be reflected in historical reporting, and any removed creative will still be available for future use in your My Creative library.
π Note: If you run with MNTN Multi-Touch, this will delete the TV commercial and its linked Multi-Touch group from your campaign shell. If the TV commercial hadn't been linked to a Multi-Touch group, only the TV commercial would be removed from your campaign shell.
From your creative library
Deleting a creative from your creative library will permanently remove it from your library. If you ever want to leverage that asset again, you must upload the TV commercial into your MNTN account.
Navigate to the Creative tab of your account.
Select the sub-tab My TV Videos.
Once here, find the TV commercial you'd like to delete.
From that TV commercial's kebab menu, select Delete.
You'll receive a pop-up notification that deleting this creative will permanently remove it from your library.
β
When to use replace creative
Replace creative is for urgent fixes only β audio errors, incorrect branding, or rendering issues that need immediate correction without changing campaign setup. Consider Replace Creative for multi-touch ads where you need unified reporting under a single creative. Otherwise, upload a new creative to preserve your performance history.
β οΈ Warning: Replacing a creative permanently overwrites the original. All past and future reporting will be attributed to the replacement creative, and the original will no longer appear in reports. Creative-level performance comparisons won't be possible. If the replacement has a new name, that name will appear across all historical reporting.
Refresh Creative
Refreshing your TV commercials is a best practice for all MNTN advertisers, as we find most viewers like to see fresh content.
Navigate to the Video Creative step of your campaign shell.
Click the + Add Creative button in the top right corner.
Select a previously uploaded TV commercial by clicking the kebab menu and then Attach to Campaign.
If you want to upload a new one, click Upload New in the top right corner.
βLocate the TV commercial you want to remove and set the weighting to 0%.
Click the kebab menu on the TV commercial you want to remove and select Delete.
