Understand Multi-Touch Best Practices

Tips to help your Multi-Touch ads drive performance and maintain compliance across MNTN campaigns.

Overview

Multi-Touch helps you extend your TV messaging across multiple devices in a household, increasing visibility and reinforcing your brand story. By running Multi-Touch Ads on trusted publishers, you can amplify your message and drive more conversions.

For Multi-Touch Creatives, you can either:

  • Use the MNTN Ad Builder

  • Upload Your Own Static Ads

Ad Builder

Everything you need to create stunning, dynamic ads to reinforce your Television creative.

The workflow is simple:

  1. Select a template from our template gallery under Multi-Touch Templates.

  2. Click the preview icon and then Customize in Ad Builder.

  3. Edit your 3 master sizes (Square, Landscape, and Portrait).

  4. Once your 3 master sizes are complete, hit Generate All Ad Sizes to generate all 22 sizes.

  5. Adjust as needed, hit save, and apply to your campaign.

Best Practices

If choosing to run with MNTN Multi-Touch, ensure your creatives meet the following best practices.

Logo

Ensure your logo is present on each ad size uploaded.

  • We recommend using an SVG file with a transparent background for your logo image.

  • There are no specific logo size requirements.

This, coupled with the TV ad best practices, promotes brand recognition.

Consistent Call to Action (CTA) and Messaging

Keep the call to action (CTA) and messaging consistent with its associated CTV asset. The colors, logo, visit URL, promo offer, copy, and messaging should be cohesive throughout the advertising experience.

When the same message is conveyed across the user's advertising experience, it reinforces the intended message and increases the likelihood of it resonating with your targeted audience.

Video

Add a portion of your TV ad to your multi-touch ad via the video element in our AdBuilder.

Users retain 95% of a message when they see it in a video, compared to just 10% when they read it.

Leverage Product Carousels

If offering more than 10 products or services on your site, leverage the MNTN Ad Builder's Product Carousel offering. Product carousels can effectively showcase multiple products, enhance user engagement, provide a seamless browsing experience, and create cross-selling opportunities, all within the limited ad space.

If your team wants to leverage dynamic media in your multi-touch ads, you must build your multi-touch ads out within MNTN's Ad Builder.

  • Push users to convert by showing them the products they most recently viewed or placed in their cart and abandoned

  • Add a strong call to action with the product carousel.

    • i.e. “SHOP NOW”

  • The tracking pixel will automatically pull products from your site - no need for product feeds.

    • A Dynamic carousel can showcase recently viewed products and categories and the most commonly viewed products and categories.

    • You can also create a custom product carousel of the products you want to showcase.

6 Ad Sizes

If uploading static multi-touch ads, we recommend the following ad sizes for every multi-touch group:

  • [Square] - 300x250

  • [Landscape] - 728x90, 320x50, 300x50

  • [Portrait] - 300x600 and 160x600

This ensures your campaign can access a wide range of popular inventory, enabling our technology to effectively target your top-performing audiences in the spaces where they consume content.

Keep Your Goal In Mind

  • Are you looking to drive visits on an e-commerce website?

    • Include a “Shop Now” CTA and a promotional offer, encouraging users to browse products on the site.

  • Are you looking to spread brand awareness and introduce yourself to a new audience?

    • Use brand-forward messaging that reveals your “why” to customers.

  • The MNTN Creative Suite uses Google Fonts, which includes over 700 fonts, or you can upload your own custom font to stay consistent with your brand

    • Font file formats accepted; .woff, .ttf, .otf, .eot

  • If uploading a video, use a 16:9 aspect ratio and less than 3 MB size, keep the duration of the video between 5-15 seconds, and avoid using text in videos

    • The file format should be .MP4

  • If uploading an image asset to the ad builder we accept the following file types: JPEG, PNG.

  • SVG file format is recommended for logos.

  • Using our partner integrations with Shutterstock, you have thousands of stock photos and videos at your fingertips at no extra cost

  • Image Ratio: 1.91:1 to 4:5

  • We recommend that images not contain more than 20% text as they may render incorrectly and experience reduced delivery. Pro Tips
