Set Up & Manage Pixels

Follow the full pixel setup process in MNTN and choose the installation guide that matches your site platform.

Overview

Pixels are required for accurate tracking and reporting in MNTN. This article covers the full setup process — from installation to verification, with options to reset or opt out if needed.

To install your pixels, you’ll need to choose the method that matches your site platform (for example, Shopify, Google Tag Manager, or manual installation). Follow the recommended installation guide for your platform, then return here to:

  • Run pixel verification to ensure your pixels are active.

  • Opt out or opt back in if you decide not to use performance tracking.

  • Reset installation if you need to switch methods.

By completing these steps, your site will be approved and your campaigns can be optimized to drive visits, conversions, and revenue.

Choose Your Installation Method

  1. Sign in to MNTN.

  2. From the account dropdown in the top right, select My Account.

  3. From the left navigation pane, under My Account, select click Pixels.

  4. Under, 1. Install your pixels, click Install or View Guide next to your preferred method of installation.

Run Pixel Verification

Once your pixels are installed, follow these steps to verify installation:

  1. Sign in to MNTN.

  2. From the account dropdown in the top right, select My Account.

  3. From the left navigation pane, under My Account, select click Pixels.

  4. Under, 2. Verify your pixel installation, select your installation method from the dropdown and click Run Verification.

  5. Follow the prompts to confirm or provide more information or take a recommended action.

    If we can't find your tracking pixel, conversion pixel, or GA4 measurement ID(s) and you're still having trouble:

    1. Click Create a ticket.

      The Create a support ticket modal opens.

    2. Choose your installation type and click Yes, create ticket.

    3. Under 2. Verify your pixel installation, you'll see A support ticket has been created.

      We'll reach out to help.

  6. Click Finish Setup.

    Congratulations! Your pixels are verified. You'll now see that your pixels are Verified and your site is Approved.

To change your pixel setup:

Follow the same steps you used during installation.

Opt Out

  1. Sign in to MNTN.

  2. From the account dropdown in the top right, select My Account.

  3. From the left navigation pane, under My Account, select click Pixels.

  4. Under 1. Install your pixels, find Opt-out of performance tracking and click Opt-out.

  5. Click I still want to opt-out of placing pixels.


    ⚠️ Warning: Implications of opting out include the inability to:

    • Focus your Prospecting campaigns on driving site visits, conversions, and/or revenue

    • Automatically optimize those campaigns to achieve best-in-class results

    • See reports on the visits, conversions, and revenue delivered by your TV ads

    • Get insight into user behaviors to improve your cross-channel messaging

    • Launch TV Retargeting campaigns


To opt back in:

  1. Sign in to MNTN.

  2. From the account dropdown in the top right, select My Account.

  3. From the left navigation pane, under My Account, select click Pixels.

  4. In the bottom right corner, click Opt-in to placing pixels.

  5. Follow the steps above to install your pixels.

Reset Installation

If you need to change your pixel installation method, resetting your pixel installation is easy.

Resetting allows you to select a different pixel installation method or opt out; however, it does not remove the tracking and conversion pixels from your site.
